The World Now
The Goddess’ song was said to be a lullaby that could soothe the soul, but all across Dis a new melody has overtaken the airwaves—one of discord and uncontrolled emotions. In the chaos of their conflict, the Proto Archive gains the upperhand, and the Champions watch as citizens sink into a dark abyss. Even some of their own find their path obscured by the weight of their duty.

At the heart of Dis, who does Dante find but his long-lost friend, Virgil? With his pristine appearance, it would be hard to believe that decades had passed since the two last saw each other. Trapped in a cage of his own making, Virgil’s body is slowly dissolved to cure the city’s sick and needy. Through the little girl created from his DNA, he seeks to continue this twisted legacy. Now, Dante must choose: repent for abandoning him and keep their promise, or commit the ultimate betrayal and seek a new path?

Conflict
Casella can no longer bring herself to take the stage. With a sold-out show ahead of her, she never imagined the magic in her music would take such a dark turn. Now, Asphodel will pay the price for her naivete, and Casella must learn to bear the weight of the expectations placed upon her before they crush her—and the world alongside her.

With Casella locked away and Lucia compromised, Dante and Lorraine are forced to put their faith in the Primum Ordo’s plans. Time is against them, as the eve of Dis’ greatest concert is when the Proto Archive’s scheme is set to debut. To guide this world toward salvation, the Champions must first overcome their own inhibitions—and a towering mechanical entity controlled by a familiar doctor.
